Innomotics, a globally leading provider of electric motors and large drive systems, welcomes a new addition to its Nuremberg site: Sykatec, a business segment of Innomotics GmbH and a leading specialist in metal processing, welding components, surface coating, and cable assembly, officially moves into its new production facility on Vogelweiherstraße today. The opening ceremony marks the successful beginning of a new phase of collaboration within the Innomotics production network.
Sykatec is relocating its production from Erlangen to Nuremberg. The new site offers ideal conditions for the high-precision manufacturing of mechanical components. The full relocation is expected to be completed by the end of the 2025 summer holidays. The first production lines are already up and running successfully.
Investing in Modern Technologies and a Future-Ready Work Environment
Additionally, Sykatec invests in state-of-the-art manufacturing technologies and a modern infrastructure, including:
- A new fiber laser system enables highly precise sheet metal processing and significantly expands technological capabilities.
- A semi-automated powder coating system allows efficient coating of aluminum and steel components – another step toward CO₂-reduced manufacturing.
The infrastructure has also been comprehensively modernized, including newly designed office spaces and spacious break rooms that create an attractive working environment for employees.
Forward-Looking Partnership
Michael Reichle, CEO of Innomotics: “We are very happy to now have Sykatec directly on board at our Nuremberg site. It optimizes supply chains, intensifies collaboration, and creates valuable synergies. This step strengthens our shared commitment to sustainable, high-performance, and future-oriented industrial manufacturing here in Nuremberg.”
Peter Knez, CEO of the Sykatec business segment, adds: “The new Nuremberg site allows us not only to maintain our proven quality and logistics performance but to expand them strategically. With this relocation, we are creating space for growth, innovation, and sustainability. The investments in modern technologies, futureready buildings, and a motivating work environment not only enhance our competitiveness but also our ability to develop forward-looking solutions together with our customers.”
